At the fortnightly meotlug of the Loyal Britannia Lodge, M.U., Bro. J. H. Davidson, N.G., presided. Sick visitors’ reports were received and relative sick pay passed for payment. Oae new member was initiated. Nominations were received for the positions of various officers for the ensuing term. Lodge honours were accorded a visiting brother from the Loyal Rose of the Valley Lodge. One candidate was initiated and two proposed for membership. The following officers were elected for the ensuing term:—N.G., Bro. J. G. Harper; V.G., Bro. J. W. Harper; E.S., Bro. N. A. Egginton; warden, Bro. J. S. Riddick; guardian, Bro. J. F. Tasker. A meeting of the Loyal Mangatalnoka Lodge, M.U., convened to endble the district officers to attend in their official capacity, took place recently, and was well attended. It was presided over by Bro. A. Skllton, N.G. P.G. Bro. Thompson, of Loyal Marton Lodge, I and the Wanganui District Management Committee, and officers and members of Loyal Eketahuna Lodge were also present. Lodge honours were accorded the visitors, who made suitable response. Accounts amounting to £5O were passed for payment. Correspondence received from Loyal Eketahuna Lodge conveyed the latter’s inability to compete in the half-yearly ritual competition. A complimentary ticket was received from the Druids’ Lodge for their annual ball next week. Three letters of recommendation were granted. One lady was proposed for membership, and, being in attendance, was initiated. Lodge honours were accorded her. The District Grand Master, Bro. R. K. Couper, was accompanied by Deputy-District Grand Master Bro. F. Dennes. P.D.G.M., Bro. A. Blair, P.D.G.M. ■ Bro. Loasby, D.S. Bro. E. W. Guise, and P.G. Bro. Gooding, of the District Management Committee. Each returned thanks for the welcome extended to them, and spoke on various phases of lodge work, including hospital insurance, women members, juvenile lodge, and the social aspect of lodge work. Questions were invited, and answered. Several members signified their intention of going to Dannevlrke on November 13 on the occasion of D.G.M. Bro. Couper's visitation to Loyal Dannevlrke Lodge. The following nominations were received for the major officers for the ensuing term: —N.G., Bro. T. Foley; V.G., Bros. W. D. Hunt, S. J. Matthews, A. E. South, W. Ridley, and .T. 11. Brown: E.S.. Bros. A. E. South, R. Nesbit, and N. Michel. The regular fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Sister Wallis Lodge, M.U., was held In the Lodge Room, Clyde Quay, recently. General business of the lodge was dealt with and nominations of the officers for the ensuing term were opened by Sister E. Bell, N.G. An interesting report was given by Sister Reynard, on the week-end visit to Loyal Martinborough Lodge. Lodge honours were accorded visitors. Several sisters after lodge attended a social at the Loyal Antipodean Lodge.
