The Kight Hon. G. W. Forbes. Prime' Minister, will leave London on December C, and he is due to arrive in New Zealand on January 25. The Hon. E. A. Ransom, Acting-Prime Minister, showed a slight improvement in health yesterday, and he was able to leave for his home. He will rest from his official duties for about a fortnight, and in his absence from Wellington his duties will be undertaken by Sir Apirana Ngata, Minister of Native Affairs and Acting-Attorney-General. The Hou. A. J. .Stallworthy, Minister of Health, arrived from Auckland by train yesterday morning, and after spending the day in Wellington, he left for the north again last evening. The Hon. W. A.. Veitch, Minister of Railways, w T ho officially opened the new railway station at Auckland yesterday, left for Wellington last evening. The Hon. J. B. Donald, PostmasterGeneral and Minister of Marine, left Auckland last evening on the new lighthouse steamer Matni, which will, visit Great Barrier Island and other points in Hauraki Gulf. Mr. Donald will return to Auckland on Wednesday and will leave for Wellington in the evening. The Hon. A. J. Murdoch. Minister of Agriculture, will leave Auckland for Te Kamhata to-day. He will later proceed to Hamilton, and will accompany Lord Barnby on a tour of inspection, which will include visits to the State farm at Ruakura. and several dairy factories in the Waikato. Mr. Murdoch will leave for Wellington on Wednesday evening. Mr. A. Guy, Masterton, is at the. Royal Oak Hotel. ' Mr. V. G. Rodda, of Sydney, is at the Grand Hotel. Mr. F. Langstone, M.P. for Waiinarino, is visiting Wellington. Mr. W. E. Barnard, M.P. for Napier, is visiting Wellington. Mr. W. Perry, Masterton, is visiting Wellington, and is at the Royal Oak Hotel. Mr. John Church, Palmerston North, is at present in Wellington, and at the Grand Hotel. Mr. T. A. Duncan, Hunterville, and Mr. E. M. Gray, New Plymouth, are at the Royal Oak Hotel. Mr. F. W. Laing, Mr. E. Swailes, aud Mr. W. Ballot, are Napier residents who are staying nt the Grand Hotel. Mr. Justice Reed left yesterday for Blenheim, where he will preside at the quarterly session of the Supreme Court. Mr. Justice Ostler has. returned from Wanganui, where he presided at the Supreme Court session. Mr. James Findlay, New Zealand representative for the Shaw, Savill Company, is on a business visit to Auckland. Mr. John Fuller was a passenger for the south by last evening’s ferry steamer. He will return to Wellington on Thursday. Mr. A. Neville, Mr. T. Fahey, and Mr. W. H. Simpson, of Auckland, and Mr. A. T. Poulton, Pahiatua, arc at the Grand Hotel. Mr. A. W. Hawley, representing the motor manufacturers of Great Britain, left for the south last evening to attend the Golden Arrow All-British (U.K.) Industries Exhibitions at Invercargill and Dunediu. Mr. Frank Myers and Miss Ida Myers,. Son and daughter of Mr. Philip Myers, of Hobson Street, are returning to Australia by the Orient liner Orford. They should arrive hack in Wellington about the second week in December. Mr. M. Barnett, of London, has decided for private reasons not to accept the office of second minister to the Jewish community of Wellington, so that the posts of first and second ministers still remain unfilled.
