MR. DALEY DEAD
Well-known Trainer COLLAPSE AND FALL One of the leading racing trainers in the Dominion, Mr. Tim Daley, died suddenly at 5.45 last evening. The late Mr. Daley was associated with racing for most of his lifetime, and was at one time a jockey, having ridden the winner of the Masterton Cup in 1895. For the past ten years he has been associated with Mr. W. R. Kemball, and has trained many gallopers, an outstanding horse being Hynanna. x J Joining the Kemball establishment at Masterton soon after that owner entered 'racing, he started as one of Mr. Kemball’s private trainers at Opaki, throe or four years later. A year ago he came to Trentham for Mr. Kemball. At the time of his death the most promising horse under his training was Lady Pam. He also had a number of very promising Cape Horns just embarking on their careers under his care. Mr. Daley had a heart attack yesterday morning and struck his head' against a fireplace. He died without regaining consciousness at 5.45 p.m. The late Mr. Daley was well and favourably known throughout the Dominion, and was highly respected by all his turf associates. He is survived by one son, Mr. Les Daley, also of Trentham.
