The opening of the hew baths nt the Friends’ School, St. John’s Hill, Wanganui, took place on Saturday afternoon in bitcrly cold weather. Mr. W. J. Rogers, Mayor of Wanganui; was the principal speaker. Eghibitiotis of swimming, diving and life saving were given by members of the Gotiville Swimming Club, and the scholars gave folk danebs. Authority to' establish a motor camping site near the Swing Bridge, Mount Bruce Road. Ih being sought from the Crown Lands Department by. the Wairayapa Automobile Association.
