MINING DISPUTE
Independent Arbiter Chosen By Telegraph—Press Association. Westport, November 22. A meeting convened by Mr. Davies, Inspector of Awards, of the Stockton coal mining management nnd the coal miners' industrial council yesterday 'to consider the mining dispute, agreed to refer tiie matters in dispute to an independent chairman for him to give his decision thereon, and Mr. G. D. Betts was chosen.
