Two Clerks Share Prize £204,764 FOR WINNERS (Rec. November 23, 5.5 p.m.) London, November 22. Two clerks in the Ministry of Agriculture in Northern Ireland divide £204,764 as a result of holding the winning ticket in the Irish sweep on the Manchester November Handicap. Garage Owner’s Fortune. The second prize was won by A. P. Dawe, 35 years of age, who was born in Vancouver. He received the surprise of a lifetime on Saturday when he received a cable informing him that he won 409,500 dollars. Dawe, who was the proprietor of an automobile garage, announced immediately that he would clear his mortgage, then deed his business to his two youthful employees. He is planning for a long holiday trip.
