BRUTAL MURDER
Death of School Teacher SHOCKING INJURIES (Rec. November 2J, 9.50 p.m.) Melbourne, November 21. Mary Dean, aged 25, a school teacher, died early this morning from a fractured skull and shocking internal injuries. . The police believe it is a case of brutal murder. The dead woman was found in a lane at the Elwood suburb. It at first was thought that she bad been outraged, but post-mortem examination to-day did not substantiate this theory. There are extensive fractures of the skull and evidence of an attempt to strangle her, apart from the internal injuries. . , * She attended a theatre party last night. She was possessed of considerable literary gifts.
