Masterton. November 21. A credit balance of £8139/13/1 was shown in the profit and loss account presented to the annual meeting of the No. 2 XVorkers’ Mutual Benefit Building Society of Masterton, aud the society has now advanced over £50,000 since its inception. ,r Messrs. J. C. Ewington and G. Hyde were re-elected directors, and Mr. A. P. Smith was elected to the vacancy on the board caused by the death of Mr. T. S. Cresswell. Mr. G. XV. Seller was reappointed shareholders’ auditor.
Ballots for free-of-interest loans resulted as follow:—Mr. R. J. Spratt, £400; Mrs.
F. I. Penistone, £200; and S. H. Ralph, £4OO. A tender of £95 was accepted for the appropriation of £4OO offered by sale.
