MR. OSCAR GARDEN
Receptions in Wellington
A civic reception is to be tendered to Mr. Oscar Garden, the New Zealand aviator, who recently made a surprise solo flight from England to Australia. Mr. Garden left .Sydney yesterday, and will arrive in Wellington Tuesday morning. An announcement will be made later as to the exact time of the reception. The arrival of Mr. Garden will be interesting, inasmuch as he is the second New Zealand aviator to make the great flight from Croydon (London) to Mascot (Sydney). The first was Mr. F. C. Chichester. The New Zealand branch of the Eng-lish-Speaking Union, Wellington, has arranged for Wednesday evening a reception in honour of Mr. Garden. Members and their friends are invited to be present.
