PAREMATA BRIDGE
No State Subsidy The erection of a traffic bridge at Paremata will not carry a Government subsidy, according to advice received from the Minister of Public Works. Hop. W. B. Taverner, by Mr. W. H. Field, M.P. for Otaki. The following letter op the question has been sent to Mr, Field by the Minister: — “With reference to the representations you have mpde from time to time requesting a Government subsidy toward the cost of erecting a traffic bridge at Paremata, I have now to advise that this matter was recently submitte to Cabinet for consideration. The in connection with the proposal were very carefully considered, put I regret to advise you that it was decided that the matter would have to stand over for the present.”
