INCREASE IN SALARY
Sydney Alderman’s Protest Sydney, August 26. Aiderman McElhone has resigned the chairmanship of the Citizens’ Reform Party in the City Council. His action is the outcome of the party’s recommendation that the salary of Mr. Forbes Mackay be raised by £lOOO. “If necessary,” he said, “I shall resign and recontest my seat in the Fitzroy ward.’’ •
