Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Tait and their family, who have spent the last two months in Christchurch, returned to Wellington yesterday. Mrs. A. B. Lane and Miss Joan Lane have come to Wellington ffom Christchurch to join Mr. Lane, who recently took up the position of manager of the Press Association.

Misses Forbes, who went to Auckland to sec their parents, the IJon. and Mrs. G. W. Forbes, off to England, will visit New Plymouth before returning to their home at Cheviot. .

Mrs. Guthrie, who was head of the welfare work-of the Women's National Reserve for mental cases in Wellington, is visiting Canada, and she has recently visited one of the most up-to-date mental hospitals in Vancouver. .She says she was interested to hear that they are “up against the same difficulties regarding women patients as we in New Zealand.” Mrs. Guthrie and her son spent some days in Seattle and then went across to Vancouver Island, where they enjoyed I lie beautiful scenery and perfect roads.
