PRINCE OF WALES
Career as Airman UNACCOMPANIED FLIGHTS London, July 24. The “Daily Telegraph’s” aviation correspondent says that the Prince of Wales made a noteworthy step in his career as an airman recently when he made flights unaccompanied by a pilot or any other person. The solo flights were made at the Northolt Aerodrome aboard the Tomtit two-seater which he entered for the King’s Cup, when the machine was flown by Squadron-Leader Don. The Prince’s flights' were of short duration. He did not go far from the aerodrome, but his take offs and landings were most successful.
