Suburban Train Breakdown
Due to the side rods of the engine on the 7.33 a.m. Wellington-Waterloo train breaking when the train was between Ngahauranga and Petone there was a long delay in the service on the line, a relief engine having to be sent from Wellington. All the buses available were requisi-
tioned to take the passengers on their way to work, but they were kept late waiting for the train (hat had not arrived.
