Encroachment upon the claims of worship and service, the due right of the Creator, is constantly, apparent. Spiritual bankruptcy will result from any attempt to’ meet on grounds of compromise, avarice, sensuality, egotism, crime, war, or pleasure —all children of Mammon. In the New Testament we have the names of Paul, Apollos, Cephas, and Christ; they are called Cliques, and Carnal, or worldly Party names. “Simeon hath declared how God at the FIRST did visit the Gentiles, to take out of THEM a People to BEAR HIS NAME.” Acts 15: 14. God did not visit the Nations to take out of them the NAME of Wesley, or even Christ. Or any of the SECT or National Names. Numb. 6: 2427. “It was to BEAR the nhme of the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.” Eph. 3: 14-15. M.’s Trns.
