CHILTON HOUSE

Friends and supporters of Chilton House School will be interested in a social to be held on Saturday evening, August 9, at the schoolhouse, island Bay. An entertaining programme lias been arranged and the prospects are for a pleasant evening.

The Wayside Studio, 113 Molesworth Street, have an interesting and valuable collection of Chinese embroideries. Mandarin dresses (skirt and coat) are exquisitely hand-embroidered and stiff with gold and silver. Chinese rosecolour ovster and blue, also scarlet are the colourings. Strips of embroidery for framed panels and unframed pieces are very decorative. Other pieces are stocked in various shapes and sizes to be psed for many different purposes, and several handsome cushions are featured.—Advt.
