Record Number of Entries SOME SPLENDID CLASSES The entry for the forty-second annual show of tiie Wellington Kennel Club, which opened at the Winter Show building yesterday, and will continue to-day, is a record, there being 303 entries, winch is about 40 more than last year. There have been increased entries from all parts of the Dominion, an Auckland exhibitor having no fewer than 18 entries, ihc show was formally opened by his Dxcedlency the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, who was accompany by Lady Bledil s-oe. . Arrangements were ably earned out under the direction of the bon. secretary, Mrs. A. C. Gadd, the dogs being on the benches right on the minute, so that there was no delay in the judging. It was expected that the judging of the breed classes would be completed yesterday, and the variety classes will be judged to-day. The judging rings were well arranged, and everything done to make things as comfortable as possible for owners and dogs. It was a splendid collection of specimens of man’s faithful friend.” •> The Alsatians were the strongest class, being about. 40 in number, and man; of them were tremendously powerful-look-ing dogs. All sporting dogs were good and generally speaking were as mud admired by the public as any variety. The toy dog classes also attracted a great amount of attention, especially when ii the ring. These entries also showed ar increase on last year. The variety classes were well tilled, there being 22 entries in the puppy section, and the Kin?
