Horse Hardly Used ' SCENE IN CITY STREET i A particularly bad example of ' cruelty to dumb animals was witnessed in Brougham Street on a recent even- i ing. j A motor-car of the heavier type was parked in the street, and when the driver came to start it up again he found it would not budge. , Being possessed of a piece of rope, < he enlisted the help of a man who was 1 driving a horse and a four-wheeled ' lorry which was loaded with sacks of I coal. ! Car and lorry were joined by the ( rope and the horse was made to pull 1 lorry, car, coal, and two big men along Brougham Street up the hill toward Plrie Street.
