PROVINCIAL ITEMS
Mr. anti Mrs. G. W. Arlidge, of Palmerston North, are visitors to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Nelson, who have been visiting relatives in Hastings and Napier, have returned to Woodville. Mrs. H. H. Hutchison, of Victoria Avenue, Palmerston North, gave a bridge party for Miss Otbley Haggitt on Tuesday night. Each guest brought gifts for a bridge table, and Miss Haggitt, who is shortly to be married, received many novel ’ gadgets. Those present were: Misses O. and D. Haggitt. Mesdames C. T. Keeble, W. Hunter Will, L. Bale. F. Coombs, Jfisses Waldegrave (2_), Warburton, Fitzherbert, F. Monrad, J. Thomson, E. Macmillan. Macdonald (2), M. Guy, and R. Cameron. Mrs. J. Mounsey has returned to Palmerston North from Wellington. Miss Madeline Cockayne, of Wellington, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Duncan Macpherson, of Langstou Avenue, Palmerston North. i Miss Audrey McLeod and' Miss Mary Glenny, of Hawke’s Bay, are the guests of Miss Peggy Nathan, of Palmerston North.
