COMING OF AGE DANCE
Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Nathan, of Palmerston North, gave a dance on Wed-, nesday evening to celebrate the coming-of-age of their daughter, Miss Peggy, Nathan. The function was held at the P.D.C. restaurant, and was an enjoyable one. Mrs. Nathan received the guests wearing a gown of black moire with coat of black chenille finished with an ermine collar. Miss Nathan’s frock was ankle-length, made in palest pink moire. She also wore a coat of Oriental lame. Miss Audrey McLeod, Hastings, and Miss Mary Glenny, Ilaumoana, who came to Palmerston North specially for the dance, and who are Mrs. Nathan’s guests, wore white and orange flowered taffeta and dark blue and orange figured taffeta respectively. There were about 150 guests altogether. The huge room was decorated with soft greenery, palms, and bowls of zinnias, Iceland poppies, and asparagus fern.
