Shanks Wins Semi-final The second semi-final of the Wellington inter-club amateur billiards championship was played at Billiards, Ltd.’s showroom last evening, when the holder, H. Shanks, Working Men's Club, beat S. Simpson. G.P.O. Pastimes, by 300 to 196. Shanks’s breaks were 44. 33, 33, 52, 21, 30. Simpson made a break of 30. The winner’s average was exactly 10. At 7.30 this evening Shanks will meet A. Wakem, Federal Club, in the final of 500 up.
