BOROUGH TO CITY
Palmerston North’s Status Dominion Special Service. Palmerston North, June 13. Advice was received to-day from the Government Statistician that the population o£ the borough as at April 1, was 20,150, thereby qualifying Palmerston North to be proclaimed a city. Applications for the necessary proclamation under the Municipal Corporations Act will be made forthwith.
