FIRE AT PALMERSTON
HOUSE GUTTED. Palmerston North, May 15. A six-rooined dwelling in Featherston Street East, owned by Mr. F. L. Orchard, was extensively gutted by fire in the early hours of this morning. The brigade found the house a mass of flames on its arrival. The origin of the outbreak is not known. The house was unoccupied. The alarm was given from a street box.
