When the Lower Hutt Borough Couueil received an invitation last night to send a representative to a meeting to be held in the Mayor’s room, Wellington, to discuss proposals for a centenary exhibition in 1040, the Mayor (Sir Alexander Roberts) suggested that, under the -circumstances, "the youngest Councillor should be appointed. (Laughter). However, (be Councillors thought otherwise, and the Mayor was chosen as the representative.
