WEDDING.

At St. John’s Anglican Church, Alfred l ton, recently, Hineinoa .Aunie, eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Saunders, of Saunders Road, Alfredton, was married tp Douglas Russell, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Beatson, of Port Charles, Coromandel. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. S. R. Wareing, of Te Awamutu. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. F. L. Dunn, of Te Awamutu, wore a frock of ivory crepe de chine, trimmed with silver lace and orthodox orange blossom; she carried a shower bouquet of white roses, earnations, sweet peas, and maidenhair fern. The bride was attended by her two sisters, Miss Daphne (chief) and Miss Hester Saunders of Masterton, as bridesmaids, both of whom were attired in azure blue mariette trimmed with satin, with blue lace hats; and they carried bouquets of pink roses, sweet peas, larkspur, and maidenhair fern, and blue delphiniums, yellow roses, and maidenhair fern respectively. Little Miss Betty Dunn, of Te Awamutu, a cousin of the bride, was in attendance as flower girl, frocked in salmon pink georgette trimmed with forget-me-nots; her pink hat bad similar trimming, and she carried a basket of pink roses. Mr. Frank Saunders, of Martinborough (brother of the bride), acted as best man, and Mr. Cyril Judd, of Mauriceville, officiated as groomsman. Miss S. Emp; n presided at the organ, and the service was choral. The hymn, “The Voice That Breathed O’er Eden.” was sung as the bride entered the church. At the conclusion of the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Dunn were host and hostess at a reception at the Central Tea Rooms, where the wedding breakfast was held. Mr. and Mrs. Beatson left in the afternoon by car for the north, where the honeymoon was spent. Afterwards they wil.l take their residence at Port Charles.
