, • + DOMINION RECORD BROKEN. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Ashburton, December 30. The Australian swimmers, Ryan and Griffiths, took part in a carnival here on Saturday night. The New' Zealand fresh-water record of SSO yards was lowered by 14 l-ssec by Ryan, who covered the distance in llmin 30 2-ssee. Griffiths equalled the New Zealand record for 440 yards in smin 29sec.
