SHEFFIELD SHIELD SOUTH AUSTRALIA BEATS QUEENSLAND (Rec. December 30, 9.30 p.m.) Adelaide, December 30. In the Sheffield Shield match against Queensland South Australia in the second innings made 177 fdr nine wickets (Pritchard 43, V. Richardson 42). Hurwood took five wickets for 62 runs. South Australia won on the first Innings by one run. NEW SOUTH WALES v. VICTORIA (Rec. December 30, HJ.op.ra.) Melbourne, December 30. In the Sheffield Shield match against New South Wales, Victoria in the first innings had made 341 for seven wickets when stumps were drawn (Hendry 103, a’Beckett 50, Scaife 60 not out, Blaekie 37 not out). [The first innings score of New South Wales was 402.]
