RANGITIKI’S FAST RUN 18 DAYS TO BALBOA On the homeward passage of her second voyage, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s motor liner llangitiki made a fast run of 18 days from Wellington to Balboa. She left this’ port at 5 p.m. on December 7 and arrived at the Panama Canal on the afternoon of Christmas Day. The Raugitiki left Colon last Thursday afternoon for Southampton and London, and is expected to arrive at the Channel port on or about January 8. WAIOTAPU DUE WEDNESDAY. The Union Company advise that the Waiotapu will now leave Auckland today for Wellington, in continuation of her voya-e from Pacific Coast ports. She is due here on Wednesday, and an endeavour will be made to dispatch the vessel on Saturday for Melbourne. KATOA BRINGS CIRCUS. The Union Company’s cargo steamer Katoa will leave Lyttelton on Friday for Wellington with Wirth’s Circus. The vessel will proceed from here to Dunedin next Saturday or Monday.
