Motor-car Overturns. — On the Frasertown road on Thursday night a motorcar driven by Victor Drysdale skidded while passing another driven by his father and turned over twice, throwing the occupants out, states a Press Association message from Wairoa. All were badly cut and bruised. Miss R. Drysdale suffered a broken collarbone. All were admitted to the hospital. The car was totally wrecked.
Police Attacked by Crowd. — While attempting to arrest two men, Constables Masterton and Dunn were attacked by a crowd of a hundred men, states a Press Association message from Melbourne. Dunn suffered from a broken nose and jaw, blackened eyes, and bruised body. The prisoners were freed and Dunn left lying on the ground.
