Largely of imported blood and including imported ewes bred by His Majesty the King, Duke of Richmond, Sir William Bird and W. J. Dare, and their progeny by imported sires. Since 1923, only the imported rams and their progeny, from the imported ewes, have been used as sires in the flock, and with the exception of the older breeding ewes the whole of the flock are by these rams. The flock is a most prolific one and the lambing percentage this year exceeds 100. The imported - ewes, with their present season’s progeny at foot (most. of the imported ewes are suckling, twins) will be sold ns separate lots. The stud rams will also be catalogued separately, but all other lots will be drafted for age and quality to pens of five. It should be noted that the flock has never been pampered, ’ and buyers can attend the sale with every confidence that the sheep will be brought forward in a good conditioned, healthy, but untrimnied, state. There are few flocks in the Dominion which are not in need of fresh blood to-dav, and the dispersal of this flock provides an opportunity which, owing to the existing restrictions against importing because of foot-and-mouth disease, is not otherwise available.
