ALLEGED ASSAULT IN HOTEL
PORTER ATTENDED BY AMBULANCE.
H. Simmonds, a porter at the New Commercial Hotel, was attended to by the Free Ambulance shortly after 5 p.m. yesterday. He had a contused wound under the eyes and was also suffering from haemorrhage of the nose. These injuries, it is alleged, were received as the result of an assault, though the police were not called upon. t
