PILLION RIDER INJURED
* COMPANION UNHARMED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, December 26. Severe injuries to head and concussion were sustained by Herbert Darwin, single, aged I'7, as the result of being thrown from a motor-cycle on which he was pillion riding in Mount St. John Avenue, Epsom, this afternoon. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital, and had not regained consciousness to-night. The rider; of the machine escaped uninjured.
