GREETINGS FROM BYRD
MAYOR RECEIVES REPLY Among those first to congratulate Commander Byrd on his successful flight to the South Pole and back was the Mayor of Wellington (Mr. G. A. Troup). An answer to the radio message has arrived, and it read as fol lows: — “My comrades on Polar flight join with me and the other inhabitants in greetings. Kindest personal regards.— Richard Byrd.”
