London, December 18. Mr. Richard Tilden Smith, the wellknown financier, dropped dead in the House of Commons. He had visited the House to confer on the Coal Mines Bill with Mr. Lambert, M.P., and was leaving the luncheon room when he collapsed. Two doctors, Drs. J. Williams and J. Jones, M.P.’s, were immediately called and pronounced him dead.
