WANGANUI NOTES HORSES FOR COMING FIXTURES Dominion Special Service. Wanganui, December 10. - W. Rayner took Drastic and Pedestal to Woodville to-day. Both appear all the better for racing at Feiiding. It will depend on their form at Woodville whether they will go to Auckland or not. The Warden is in work again, and looks well after his long spell. This gelding showed ■ promise as a three-year-old last season,‘but met with a mishap after winning the Atiawa Cup at New Plymouth. All going well, the son of The Verderer should win some races for Mr. Frank Bristol. Star Area is rounding up nicely, but although he has Improved since his race at Waverley he has not yet struck his best form. He is to be a runner in the Egmont Clip next Wednesday. Fernden will also run at Hawera. The Australian-bred gelding has done little fast work, but he races well on a light preparation. ■ Potoaform looks well after his spell. He is engaged at the Manawatu meeting. . Just an Idea is stepping out in pleasing style and promises to'win some races shortly. He will be one of M. Gardner’s team for Hawera next week. Whenuatonga is being got ready, again, and will probably be seen out at Marton on New Year’s Day. , Arisns and Just an Idea went half a mile together this morning, but were not extended to run 53sec.,‘ . . - Star Area put in a good working gallop over a mile.
