On the course proper with the going deml and the hurdles forty feet out 'J’etraehate and Gemlight ran six furlongs in Imin. 20 3-ssee„ both finishing well. They are likely to show up at Takapuna. Corinax, giving The Lover lullj- a stone, finished with that horse a eouple of lengths clear of Golden Wedding over a mile, solidly run in imin. 40 3-ssec. It was a good gallop on the part of both Williamson’s Alison Cup candidates. Corinax is very well despite the lack of a race, and The Lover is the better for his Te Kuiti racing. Good Boy comfortably ran six furlongs in Imin. 23 3-ssec. v Sir Archie and Spring Abbey both pleased over live furlongs in Imin. 6 4-ssec. Harbour View ran six furlongs in Imin. 24 3-ssee. Tremetus pleased more than Thespis from the mile to the half in 52 l-ssec. Silcneard and Great Emblem did the same journey in 51 4-osec. Tremetus should do best of the Ellerslie two-year-olds at Takapuna. On No. 2 grass Vallar went fast over the first part of six furlongs, easing up, in Imin. Msec. Thursby easily beat Lusoma and Black Prince over five furlongs in Imin. 6 3-sfiec. Praetor and Alloy went nicely over the same distance in Imin. Usee., with Alloy finishing best. Tea Time showed plenty of speed in a similar task In Imin. Csec. Diamond Queen ran away from Greenfield over half a mile in 51 4-sscc. Gay Cockade was too good for Luxurious over five furlongs in Imin. 5 2-ssce. Boman Pearl, with the better of the weights, beat Meagarer over six furlongs in Imin. M l-ssec. There was not much work at Takapuna, a little being performed well out on the course proper. Valimond went very fast over five furlongs In imin. 4sec. She is regarded as a strong contender for the Takapuna Plate. Section ran six furlongs in imin. 23 4-5 sec. Full Measure beat Pellette over four furlongs in 53sec. Duellona and Briar Root ran five furI longs in Imin. Tsec. Orapai beat Hipo over four furlongs In 53 2-ssec., and Lady Quex easily ran the same distance in 53sec, She is very well. Ridgemount and The Swell have arrived and to-night will find most of the visitors on the spot. Some interesting gallops may take place to-morrow. RACING IN NEW SOUTH WALES EVIDENCE OF DECLINE IN POPULARITY (Rec. November 28, 9 p.m.) , Sydney, November 28. That racing in New South Wales is declining in popularity is evident from the race clubs’ taxation returns and also the totalisator receipts.' The decline in tiie totalisator receipts this year was £74,000.
