CONSIGNMENT FROM AUSTRALIA GOVERNMENT PROHIBITS .EXPORT Sydney, November 27. The Norwegian motor ship Thalatta leaves at the week-end with a consignment of five thousand rams and ewes for Russia. The purchase was made on behalf of the Government of the Soviet Republic. It is understood that Russia is placing orders for an additional twenty thousand. As the result of very strong criticism by the Sydney papers, there is a possibility that the Federal Government will pass a law prohibiting the export of stud Merinos from Australia. (Rec. November 27, 8.16 p.m.) ■ Sydney, November 27. The Federal Ministry caused a sensation by issuing a proclamation prohibiting the exportation of sheep now loading for Russia. Nearly the whole of the five thousand sheep have been loaded aboard the Thalatta, which is due to sail to-morrow.
