ALE OF EDUCATION BOARD PROPERTY

STILL IN ABEYANCE. The Wellington Technical College Board of Governors, following its meeting last Monday, telegraphed to tho Minister of Education (Hon. H. Atmore), stating the urgency of making available the sum agreed upon for the sale of the Education Board property in Mercer Street to the City Council. Yesterday morning the chairman of the board. Mr. W. 11. Bennett, received a reply from the Minister stating that he could not telegraph the authorisation desired, but that he would go into the matter and see what could be done to meet the wishes of the board immediately upon his return from the south. The Minister will arrive in Wellington front Auckland on Saturday, mid will immediately proceed to the South Island.
