ESPERANTO CLUB

The weekly meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club was held on Tuesday night, Mr E. C. Jack presiding. A special instruction class under the direction of the secretary was organised and conducted with enthusiasm and success, the members expressing their appreciation of the innovation. In the second halt ot ttie evening an enjoyable programme w-as carried out. Mr. Jack told in Esperanto one of the famous Maori legends, which lost nothing of its charm in the translation. Miss Coralie Smythson gave an interesting talk in Esperanto on The Modern Christmas.’ lhe secretary. Mr. B Potts, gave an address in the international language on “Monarchs of the Plant Kingdom.”
