POLICE, BY-LAW, AND CIVIL CASES■ 'Mr. E. Page, 5.M.,-dealt Kith police cases in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. ClifCoiul James Thomas was fined fl for haring no driver’s license. 'Bruce Burns, aged 17, and Phyllis Marjorie Thom, aged 19, were each placed on probation for two years on a charge of stealing a diamond ring, valued at £37, the property of Victor Brownson. The Magistrate made an order that the pair keep apart from each other during that time, and that the girl go and reside with her parents in Auckland. BY-LAW CASES CMJfnders against the by-laws were dealt with by Mr. T. B. McNeil. S.M. John Mudgway was fined £1 for having no driver’s license. Sidney 11. Rossiter, Leo. T. Dwau, George Phillips, aud Arthur M. Saxon were each fined 10/- for leaving their cars unattended. Joint M. Carroll for a like offence was fined 5/-. George Phillips was fined £1 for parking within six feet of a fire plug. . Melton Ingle, George Chadwick, Shirley Percy, and George A. Smart were lined 10/-‘each for having defective rear lights. Oswald James and William Edymore were each fined 5/- on like charges, while Benjamin Kuch was. fined 5/- on each of two similar informations. Albert W. Bee, Walter H. Hughes. Russell J.
