TECHNICAL SCHOOL WORK.

TJje following report of the Ladies’ Auxiliary Committee of the Technical College Board was presented to the board at its meeting yesterday:—“They have inspected the work done in. the home science department, dressmaking, millinery, needlework, nnd cookery, and have observed the working of the cafeteria. They have noted a marked improvement in the running of the latter since their visit soon after its opening: they considered that the dressmaking, needlework, and millinery were up to date, and the work excellent in quality. They were interested to note the instruction given in table service, and believed this to be a useful innovation to tench girls to make the best of what they have even if it is not so elaborate. They have nothing but praise for the work of Aliss Rennie and her staff in the home science department. They have inspected the notebooks and examination papers, and were very pleased with the care shown nnd the character of the instruction. They have learnt with pleasure that an application has been made by the Director-General of Health that post graduate nurses should receive instruction next year in dietetics.”
