SAVING SCOTS COLLEGE
CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE ACTIVITIES Movements in connection with Scots College continue, and it is stated that no sign of diminishing activity has manifested itself. Following upon the large meeting ot parents and Old Boys last'Wednesday a meeting of the committee set up met the Board of Governors the following night, and the whole position was reviewed fully, the question as to the rapid raising of the required £lO,OOO being the main discussion. All in the room were formed into a campaign committee with an executive-directing them. It was reported at a meeting of the Campaign Executive Commitee held on Friday night that already two parties had gone north seeking subscriptions from the Wairarapa and Manawatu districts, and it was resolved that Wellington should be covered in a similar manner. The absolute urgency of raising £lO,OOO is realised by all, and further meetings are to be held this week of the Old Boys’ Association and the Parents’ Association, and both associations will report to a meeting of the Campaign Committee next Tuesday night. Money has been coming in quite freely, but the minimum amount required is still a long way off.
