Meteorological Office, Wellington, Sunday, November 24, 1929, 4 p.m. Pressure is falling with the advance of an intense depression across the Tasman Sea. Moderate to strong northerly to westerly winds, reaching gale force at places south of Cape Egmont and Castlepoint. Seas becoming rough on the West Coast and off-shore south of Castlepoint; elsewhere in New Zealand waters moderate. Strong north to west winds to gale in the Eastern Tasman Sea, with rough seas. Weather unsettled In western districts, with rain, especially in the South Island, where some heavy falls. Elsewhere mainly fair at first, but haze and cloud increasing soon, and later some showers. Warm temperatures.
