EARLY MORNING BLAZE
« Wanganui, November 2-1. When the Dire Brigade arrived at 47 London Street about 6.30 a.m. this morning the house was well ablaze, and the wall of an adjoining house had ignited. The efforts of the brigade were successful in saving the second house, but No. 47, occupied by Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Ansley and family, was completely gutted and nothing was saved. The family were not sleeping at the house on Saturday night, but Mr. Ansley was thought to have jxien there, and the brigade feared for his safety, but were satisfied that no person was in the house when they arrived.
