WRESTLING
Vauce is confident that when he meets Alley in the return wrestling match tonight he will win. In the last encounter between the pair, he was willing by one fall to none, and was stated to be a long way ahead on points up until the time, when Alley brought his deadly rab-bit-puneli into operation. Now that all ■ illegalities such as gouging, the stranglehold, and the “rabbit-punch” are to be barred, to-night, patrons of the mat game can feel confident in seeing a thrilling and scientific contest. Both men are strong and clever, and are in the pink of condition. Vance has challenged Alley to this contest, and is out for revenge. On the o.ther hand, Alley states that he will wrestle Vance under any conditions, and will beat him. Alley further states that it was not his desire to include the rabbitpunch into the conditions of the last contest, and it was at Vance’s suggestion that the punch was included. Whichever way it goes the match should be a thrilling one, and brimful of interest from the word “Go.” Referee Creeke will have a busy night—that’s certain. Splendid preliminaries have been arranged. The prices are 5/- and 2/6. Come along—it will probably be the last match of the season.
