Sir.—Who was the genius who framed the Gaming Act without leaving it possible to have a game of euchre for charitable purposes for a 10/- prize? Also, has the present Government remedied this ridiculous position, and, if not, why not? Akin to the above questions is this: What do the Presbyterian assemblies say against a poor widow of I’nhintnu getting £2OOO to help her along?
