REPARATION DEMANDS
BULGARIAN PROTESTS a BUSINESS STRIKE IN SOFIA (Rec. November 22, 7 p.m.) Sofia, November 21. For the second time in a week Sofia is on strike against the reparation demands. All factories, shops, and banks closed for three and a half hours. Crowds demonstrated in front of the Foreign Legations against the Allies’ demands of half a million sterling a year for 36 years, whereas Bulgaria offers £400,000 conditional on a five years’ moratorium.
