WEEK-END EXCURSION TO WANGANUI
A whole day on the beautiful Wanganui liiver is a most enjoyable tieat, and in this respect the Railway Department is providing a week-end train leaving Wellington at 12.55 p.m. on Saturday. November 30, and returning the next day. The fare will be at half ordinary rate. Passengers may also reserve accommodation at Wanganui when purchasing their tickets. Both luncheon and afternoon tea will be served bn the river steamers and, in addition to the stops made to view Maori villages and scenic points of beauty, ample time will be allowed enthusiasts for swimming. The river trip will cover just over - 50 miles and occupies about eight hours on tile Sunday. Tickets are obtainable now, also reserved seats. . • ,
