MEETING OF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE The Management Committee of the Wellington Cricket Association met last night, Mr. P. B. Broad presiding. It was decided that play on the first day of the match with the M.C.C. team commence at 2 p.m., and last until 6 p.m., with an interval between 3.45 p.m. and 4 p.m. On the remaining days, the hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 1.45 p.m. to 3.45 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The junior team to go to Levin will leave “The Dominion” building at 8 a.m. on Wednesday. Clubs whose November fees are in arrears will be disqualified unless the money is paid before Monday, November 25. A Veterans’ Match. Drawing attention to the fact that it would be fifty-three years ago next January that the first Wellington-Canterbury match was played, Mr. Reid recalled that when the Otago-Canterbury jubilee match was played in 1914, a match between cricketers who had represented the province 25 years or more previously had been played. • Also he suggested that a similar fixture might be arranged for the eve of the Canterbury-Wellington match on December 27. He had spoken to several old players, and all had approved the idea. If the match could not be put on at the Basin Reserve, Kilbirnie or Kelburn -would serve. A sub-committee was set up to go into the question and report. THIS WEEK’S FIXTURES THIRD GRADE. Third grade fixtures for Saturday are as follows:— A Section. —Petone A v. Bowling for Hutcheson, Bowman and Johnson, Johnson took five wickets for 33, and Wright four for 22. For Ballinger’s. Dick took four wickets for 5, and Jacobi five for 50. JUNIOR B GRADE. Railway, playing two short against Old Bovs on Saturday. made 228 (G. Hoare 98. Gray 37. Dwan 20, Bryant 16 not out, Black 15). Bowling for Old Boys. Bin'ney took four wickets for 63 runs and Souper two for 33. Old Boys made 218 for eight wickets (Binnie 69. P. Broad 23, Stainton 21, Casey 19. Childs 17 not out).
