Very few people know that the road across the Patent Slip is not a city road, lint belongs to the Union Company. The surveyed public road goes up over the bluff. A member remarked that the road was blocked far too frequently and also that when passing over the slip-way motorists “hit the roof.” both literally and figuratively, but he did not see that much could lie done in the matter.
